The thrilling production of Peter Pan has three brilliant new additions this year. Nick Mowat, who occupies the post of General Manager at The Capitol Horsham, confirmed three more actors would be joining the production.
Nicola Hume, beloved for her presenting skills on the Heart FM breakfast show, will be taking on three roles. She will be playing the role of a Mermaid, Mrs Darling and an Indian Chief. She was an intricate part of the team with Jack, Tom and producer Brian for 6 incredible years. The end of May 2019 saw her departure from the on-air hosting which was followed by several exciting gigs.
She has hosted a variety of events this year. The crowning jewel was an evening spent at The Capitol Horsham where she shared the stage with Peter James to discuss his career as well as his books. The best part? She does voice-overs too. You might have heard her voice in a variety of places. Nicola is ecstatic to perform for a second consecutive year in pantomime at The Capitol.
Hywel Dowsell takes on the role of Mrs Smee. He is excited to reprise his role in pantomime for Christmas in The Capitol Horsham once again. Hywel was born in Wales. He was granted a scholarship which helped him achieve a BA (Hons) in Musical Theatre from The Guildford School of Acting.
James Fletcher is thrilled to come back to Horsham in order to play Mini Smee, a newly created role. He received his training from The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). He is well known for playing the role of a troubled teen known as Dylan Jenkins, in Channel 4’s Hollyoaks.
A brand new version of the classic tale promises to keep you riveted as it opens on 13th December, Friday until 5th January 2020 in Horsham.
In 2019, the 90th anniversary of JM Barrie gifting the rights to Great Ormond Street Hospital takes place. To commemorate the event, The capitol will be putting together bucket collections following the performances with all of the donations being forwarded to the Charity.
